Serena practised as a Singapore patent lawyer focusing on patent prosecution and patent litigation and was able to apply biological concepts to her work from time to time. She also had experience as a Singapore trademark lawyer. Clients she worked with then included large pharmaceutical companies, technology companies, and small and medium enterprises.
From 2015 – 2019, she took on in-house counsel positions mainly in the IT industry handling general corporate work.
She is proficient in spoken and written Chinese, and is keen to pick up Chinese at the business level.
